National Parks

National park is a designation that's recognised throughout the world. There's a global family of over 5,000 national parks, with Scotland having two of them.

Scotland’s national parks were established to bring together different approaches to conserving their outstanding wildlife and landscapes, managing recreational and other pressures, as well as promoting environmentally sustainable development.
